My MOTAT Recount

The day was finally here. We were going to MOTAT. When we got out of the bus I was so amazed, I could not believe I was here again. As we were walking we saw another school at MOTAT.

When we went to the village. We went into the bedrooms. The first bed
room was so realistic. There were so many dummies, and candles. I
was amazed by the bedrooms. When I saw the chapel I was
speechless. The chapel was so small and so beautiful. In the front  
of the chapel there was an eagle, with it wings out. It actually looked
like a real eagle. There were flowers and it looked amazing. As we
were walking there were seats and tables on the grass. They were
so fancy. They looked so gorgeous.

When we first walked into the inventors room I felt so amazed. There
were so many rooms. We went into a random room.. We found a
trampoline. We had to line up to go on the trampoline. I was second
in line so I went after my sister. There was a game on the trampoline.
The game we played on the trampoline was a monster beast game.
The first game I had to jump on one beast. The second game I had to jump on multiple beasts. The game went for about 30 seconds.
There were big holes and the monster beast popped up and
I had to jump on the trampoline get points. At the end it
showed me how many points I had and how many stars I had
received. The goal was to get three stars, and earn lots of points.
Then we went into a rocket room and learned a lot of things about
rockets. Then we went into the technology room. There was a photo
booth that scanned people. The projected onto this 3D screen.
Everyone was over at the selfie machine. It was so crowded. Our
parent helper said that we should go somewhere else where it was
not so crowded. We went to the old game section. There were so
many old games. The games looked very very old. The the old games
were Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Super Mario Brothers etc. When the
photo booth was not crowded I had a turn. I had a turn. It scanned
my face.
It took a second to go on the 3D screen. There were also old computers,
telephones and old televisions. Next to the photo booth there was
another
room that
had touch iPads. Not many people were in that room because
everyone was at
the
photo booth.

After this we went to the village. We had to look for so many
things. The places we went to were the fire station, Pump house and
school house.
When we went to the fire station there were so many new things to see.
There were hoses, fire trucks, helmets and axes. There were many
things I lost count. After we went to the fire station we went to the
village.
There were so many things to learn there.

After the  Scavenger hunt we walked to the tram. It was so fun
walking on the
tram tracks.
When the tram came everyone was SO excited. The person who was
driving the
tram was
Rob.
Then we went on the tram. The girls went first so we went into the
back of the
tram.
Then Rob started the tram. Everybody was super excited. The tram
stopped
so we
could look at the new baby pukekos at the Zoo.
We looked at the pukekos for a bit. After that we went back to where we
were
before.
We went out of the tram. Rob scared us by starting the tram.
Next he walked out and told us about trams.

After our relaxing tram ride we went to the Above and Beyond exhibition.
There were so many games. The games were a gravity game, the
simulation game, and a flight game.
The first game I went to was the gravity game. You had to push a
button
and watch this weight go up, and then all of a sudden it drops. It
made a
loud sound.
I also had a turn on the simulation game. It was like pretending to be a
bird.
I did not get a chance to play the flight game I was very disappointed.

Next we went to the educator to do some experiments. First he talked
about flight. After he talked about flight he showed us the experiments.
The experiments were the ping pong experiment, the arts and crafts
wind experiment, the gravity experiment, the fan and cardboard
experiment, the shooting experiment, and the water cup experiment.
After he showed us the experiments he put us into groups to do the
experiments. The one I did first was the water cup experiment.

My Favourite experiment was the ping pong experiment.

I enjoyed my time at MOTAT. It was very fun. My favourite exhibit was
the Inventors room. It was very enjoyable jumping on the trampoline.
My time at MOTAT was very long. I hope we go to MOTAT again.
If I had to take away one of the exhibits it would be the Pump House. I
liked the Pump House but it did not work, so that is why I would take it
away. It was a shame some of the favourite and old exhibits have gone.
Apart from this I had a great time and loved every minute exploring this
interesting place.
