Introduction:
Hello, My name is Galila and I am going to talk about Madelaine Petsch.
If you have never heard that name today is your lucky day because I am
going to talk about her. Madelaine Petsch has worked with very
successful people like Camila Mendes, Vanessa Morgan,
Charles Mentale, KJ Appa, Lilli Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, and
many other famous people. Without further ado let's get on with my report
on Madelaine Petsch.

Early Life / Childhood:
Madeleine Grobbelaar Petsch was born on the  August 18th 1994 in
Port Orchard Washington. She is currently 25 right now and turning 26.
At the age of 3, she began dance classes, and two years later she began
theatre classes. Madelaine Petsch’s parents are from South Africa so she
spent the first 10 years of her life-switching back from South Africa to
Washington. When Madelaine started school she was bullied for the colour
of her hair. She and her brother often fight the bullies by throwing
rocks at them. When Madelaine became a teenager she had no
confidence in herself. She was raised without any religion,
so this gave her a new perspective on life. Slowly she gained
her confidence back.

Career:
After Madelaine graduated university she moved to Los Angeles
(L.A) to start her acting career. Before she got her first paycheck as
an actress she was working several part-time jobs.

In 2014 she auditioned for a nationwide campaign for ‘Coca Cola’.
Madelaine was selected as the face of the campaign. The same year
she appeared in the horror film called “The Hive”. She got a small
unnamed role. The next year she was spotted in the Instant Mom series.
The episode she was in was called “Gone Batty”. In 2016 she was called
to audition for the pilot of the series “Riverdale”. She was called to read as
“Betty,” a minor character. After she read her lines they made her wait for
four months before she got the call about her character. Four months later
the producers for “ Legends for tomorrow” asked her to audition for
“Riverdale” instead. Madelaine got the role of “Cheryl Blossom”.
Her character “Cheryl Blossom” is a spoiled teenager who gets
everything she demands. When the first session aired, Riverdale
was so popular.

Why she inspires me:
She inspires because she lows points at one time. She and she had
3 part-time and she still attended auditions for movies and shows.
She is very kind and shows respect for others. She doesn’t expect anything
from anyone. That’s why she inspires me so much.

Facts about Madelaine Petsch:
Her parent’s names are Michele Petsch and Timothy S Petsch.
She has been in a range of different movies and shows.
Her Riverdale character is Cheryl Blossom.
Her favourite colour is yellow.
She loves the Harry Potter series.
She makes 40,000 each episode of Riverdale.
She is vegan. She also uses to live with Lili Reinhart.
She as a dog named Oliver. She loves scary movies too!

Powhiri Recount

On Friday, February 17th CTK had a powhiri.
The powhiri was for our new principal,
new teachers, and students.
When the visitors came through the door
the whole school was singing
He Honore. When we finished singing the
visitors were already seated.
Then Kori said a prayer in Te reo Maori.
Next Father Peter said a prayer in
Te reo Maori too. Then the whole school was
singing E Toru nga mea.

Then one of the boys from Saint Mary's
said a speech in Te reo Maori to
Mr. Hadnett. Then Saint Mary’s school
sang Mo Maria and then we
joined them. After that some people did
some speeches and some were
Maori and some were English.

“Then our Principal ( Mr.Hadnett) said a
speech about how he was
happy to come back to CTK. He also said
that he was very delighted
that Saint Mary’s were there to support
him going back to CTK.
Eventually, the CTK Teachers and some
visitors did their speeches.
After all of the speeches were done,
all the girls from Room 2 had to
dance and to sing to E Minaka Ana.
Then the Powhiri ended and we
ate lunch.

Coronavirus Report

What is coronavirus
Coronavirus is a deadly virus. The first case was
in Wuhan.
Under a microscope, it looks like lots of tiny
crowns.
That’s where the name coronavirus came from.
Coronavirus has a proper name called Covid 19.
Coronavirus or Covid 19 came from people
eating raw foods,
animals and mostly came from bats.
It takes 14 days to survive from the Coronavirus or
Covid 19.
If it takes longer for someone to survive they
might die.

How does it affect people?
Coronavirus affects people in many different ways
such as
coughing, sneezing and more.
Coronavirus is like the flu, it spreads from person
to person.
You may get the coronavirus if you touch objects
then touch
your mouth, nose, and eyes.
When a person has coronavirus or covid 19 and
they cough,
sneeze, and talk they might spread tiny droplets
of the coronavirus and you might get it.
So if a family member is sick, stay away just
in case.

What are the symptoms?
You will know if you have the coronavirus if you
have
these symptoms. The symptoms are high temperature,
fever, cough and difficulty breathing. These are
the
3 symptoms to
look out for. These symptoms don’t just mean you
have
the coronavirus. Some of these symptoms are similar
to
other illnesses. If you have the coronavirus don’t
go to the
family doctor, go to the hospital. You will get
better treatment if
you have the coronavirus.

What are people doing about it?
The coronavirus is a hard virus to treat because
it is a new virus
and there is no medicine available yet. However,
scientists
are working to develop one. The only way right now
to
prevent the coronavirus is to stop
close contact with people who
have it.  Doctors are saying washing your
hands helps the spread
 of the coronavirus/covid 19.
